How Dumpster Rental Works in Yuma, AZ — From First Call to Final Pickup

We give you one flat price on the spot. That price covers delivery, your 7-day rental window, pickup, and disposal up to the included weight limit. No separate fuel charge. No environmental add-on at checkout.

Same-day delivery is available for orders placed before noon, Monday through Saturday, to most Yuma County addresses. If you call at 10am and your driveway is clear, your container can be there by early afternoon.

Military families at MCAS Yuma and Yuma Proving Ground: mention your military status when you call — the discount is applied automatically.

Contractors and property managers: call to discuss ongoing accounts. If you run multiple jobs or need regular swap-outs, a contractor account saves you time on every booking.

Driveway boards go down first — every single delivery. Before the container touches your concrete, pavers, or gravel, our driver lays thick plywood boards on the surface. This distributes the weight and prevents the container from cracking, scraping, or marking your driveway. We do this automatically. You do not have to ask.

You do not need to be home. The driver does not need your signature or your presence. He needs a clear path, an open gate, and enough space. Leave a note if you have specific placement preferences — doors facing a certain direction, positioned toward one side of the driveway.

Clearance requirements:

• 60 feet of straight-line clearance for the delivery truck to approach and place the container
• 23 feet of vertical clearance — check for power lines, tree branches, and carport beams

Yuma-specific clearance notes: Many older Yuma homes have metal carport structures with low ceiling clearance. Some snowbird communities in the Foothills area have gated entrances. Provide gate codes when you book. Some HOA communities in Fortuna Foothills have rules about container placement — check your CC&Rs before booking.

Container orientation: The rear swinging doors face outward so you can load from the back, and the container can be positioned so the doors open toward your work area. Mention your preference when you call.

The fill line is the most important rule. The fill line is the top edge of the container’s sidewalls. Nothing can stick above that line when we pick up. This is not a preference — it is a legal requirement for transport on Arizona roads. A debris pile sitting above the sidewalls is a road hazard and a violation we cannot ignore.

If your load is getting close to the top before your project is done, call us. We can schedule a swap-out — we bring an empty container and take away the full one.

Weight limits matter — especially with Yuma desert materials:
Every container has an included weight limit. Standard household debris — boxes, furniture, drywall — stays well under the limit in most cases. The problem in Yuma is desert material.

• Caliche weighs roughly 100 pounds per cubic foot
• Decomposed granite (DG) runs 90 to 100 pounds per cubic foot
• Concrete is around 150 pounds per cubic foot

If your project includes any of these, the container can hit its weight limit long before it looks full. Call us before you start loading heavy desert material — we can advise whether you need to switch to a lowboy container or spread the load differently.

What can go in:
Most household debris, construction waste, roofing materials, furniture, appliances (with Freon removed), yard waste, drywall, lumber, and flooring all go in without issue. For a complete list, see our materials guide.

What cannot go in:
Freon-containing appliances (old AC units, refrigerators with refrigerant still inside), paint, motor oil, batteries, electronics, hazardous materials, and tires. These require separate disposal. Putting them in the container results in a refused pickup — our driver will not take the load — and you will be charged a trip fee plus you will still need to arrange separate disposal for the prohibited item. It is a real cost and a real delay. Check the list before you start loading.

⚠️ Yuma AC unit note: Yuma’s extreme heat destroys air conditioning units faster than almost anywhere in the country. Replacing an AC unit is very common here. If your project involves an old AC unit, a certified HVAC technician must remove the Freon before the container arrives. Federal law — not our rule.

Where does your junk actually go?
Our truck hauls the container to the South Yuma County transfer station, where everything is weighed, sorted, and processed for disposal. Recyclable materials are separated from the load. The landfill rate for standard debris in Yuma County runs $70 to $85 per ton — this is factored into your flat rate so you are not billed separately for disposal.

What if your project is not done after 7 days?
Extra days are available at a flat daily rate of $25 to $40 per day. Let us know before your rental period ends and we add the days automatically — no new delivery fee, no new contract.

Need more room mid-project? Request a swap-out:
If your container fills up before your project is complete, we bring an empty container and haul away the full one. Contractors on multi-week job sites use this regularly. Call when the container is about three-quarters full to get on the schedule before you run out of room.
