• Paint and paint cans (even empty ones that still have wet residue)
• Motor oil and automotive fluids
• Batteries (car batteries, lithium, lead-acid)
• Electronics and e-waste (TVs, computers, monitors)
• Hazardous chemicals and cleaning solvents
• Medical or biohazard waste
• Tires
• Propane tanks

Loading prohibited items can result in a refused pickup — the driver will not haul the load — and you will still be charged the trip fee. You will also need to arrange separate disposal for the prohibited item. Avoid the headache: check this list before you start loading.

Not with the Freon still inside. Federal law requires a certified HVAC technician to remove the refrigerant from any AC unit or refrigerator before disposal. The unit itself — the metal shell, coils, and components — can go in the dumpster once the Freon is out.
