Terms and Conditions
Dumpster Rental Yuma — dumpsterrentalyuma.com
Please read these terms before booking a dumpster rental through this website, by phone or by text. By placing a booking with us, you agree to these terms.
If you have questions about anything here, call (928) 268-6454 or email info@dumpsterrentalyuma.com before booking.
1. The Rental Agreement
When you book a container with us — whether by phone, text, or online form — you are entering into a rental agreement with Dumpster Rental Yuma. You agree to use the container only for lawful disposal of materials permitted under these terms.
The container remains our property at all times. You are renting access to it for a set period. You are responsible for what goes into it.
2. Rental Period
The standard rental period is 7 days from the date of delivery. If you need more time, contact us before the rental period ends. Extension days are available at $25 to $40 per day depending on container size and scheduling.
If we have not heard from you by the end of your rental period, we will contact you to arrange pickup. Extended rentals without notice may incur additional daily charges.
3. Delivery Requirements
To complete delivery, our truck needs:
- 60 feet of straight-line clearance from the street to the placement point
- 23 feet of vertical clearance — check for power lines, tree branches, and carport beams
- An open gate or access code if the property is gated
It is your responsibility to ensure these clearances are available before delivery day. If our driver arrives and cannot complete delivery due to blocked access, a trip fee will be charged. No container will be placed in a location our driver determines to be unsafe.
We place wooden boards under every container at delivery to protect driveways and paved surfaces. This standard practice does not eliminate all risk of surface contact — by accepting delivery, you authorize us to place the container at the agreed location and acknowledge the surface protection measures we take.
4. Fill Line and Load Requirements
Debris must not extend above the top edge of the container sidewalls. This is the fill line.
Loading material above the fill line is illegal under Arizona road transport regulations and creates a road safety hazard. We will not transport an overloaded container. If your container is overloaded at pickup, you will be responsible for removing the excess before we haul the container. This may result in a rescheduled pickup and additional fees.
5. Prohibited Materials
The following items are strictly prohibited from all containers:
- Freon-containing appliances (air conditioners, refrigerators with refrigerant inside)
- Liquid paint, oil-based paint, or paint cans with wet residue
- Motor oil and automotive fluids
- Batteries of any type (car, lead-acid, lithium)
- Electronics and e-waste
- Hazardous chemicals, pool chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, solvents
- Medical or biohazardous waste
- Tires
- Propane tanks (empty or full)
- Asbestos-containing materials
- Hot ashes or embers
Regarding Freon-containing appliances: federal law under EPA Section 608 prohibits disposal of refrigerant-containing equipment without prior refrigerant removal by a certified HVAC technician. The customer is solely responsible for ensuring Freon is professionally removed before placing any AC unit or refrigerator into our container.
If prohibited materials are found in your container, we reserve the right to:
- Refuse pickup of the container
- Charge a trip fee for the refused service call
- Require you to arrange removal of the prohibited items before rescheduling pickup
- Charge additional fees for any contaminated load handling or disposal costs we incur
You are responsible for any fines, penalties, or remediation costs resulting from prohibited materials you load into our container.
6. Weight Limits and Overages
Every container has an included weight limit:
If your load exceeds the included weight limit, an overage fee of $45 to $85 per ton over the limit applies, based on the current South Yuma County transfer station disposal rate. The overage is calculated at weigh-in at the transfer station.
Heavy materials — including caliche, decomposed granite, concrete, and roofing tile — can reach weight limits well before a container looks full. We will advise you on appropriate container selection, but the customer is ultimately responsible for managing their load within the weight limit.
7. Permits and HOA Compliance
A permit is required from the City of Yuma Community Development and Engineering Department if the container is placed on a public street, alley, or sidewalk. No permit is required for placement on private property.
Obtaining any required permit is the customer’s responsibility. We can advise on the process, but we are not responsible for permit fees, denied permits, or fines resulting from unpermitted street placement.
Similarly, compliance with any HOA, condominium association, or community rules regarding container placement, timing, or access is the customer’s responsibility. We are not liable for HOA-related disputes, fines, or restrictions.
8. Payment
Payment terms are agreed at the time of booking. Full payment or an agreed payment arrangement is due before or at time of delivery. We accept payment by the methods confirmed at booking.
Unpaid balances for extended rental periods, overage charges, trip fees, or other additional charges become due upon notification and are subject to collection if not paid.
9. Cancellations
If you need to cancel a scheduled delivery, please contact us as soon as possible at (928) 268-6454. Cancellations made with reasonable advance notice (at least 4 hours before scheduled delivery) will not incur a cancellation fee in most cases. Late cancellations or no-notice cancellations may incur a trip fee if a delivery truck has already been dispatched.
10. Damage and Liability
We take reasonable care in delivering and picking up containers. We are not responsible for damage to underground utilities, irrigation lines, or subsurface structures that are not visible and were not disclosed to us before delivery.
You accept responsibility for:
- Ensuring the delivery area is safe and accessible
- Disclosing any underground hazards in the delivery zone
- Any damage resulting from overloaded containers
- Any fines or liability from prohibited materials you load
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dumpster Rental Yuma from claims arising from your use of the container, including but not limited to improper loading, prohibited materials, or permit non-compliance.
11. Service Area
We serve Yuma County, Arizona and immediate surrounding areas including Winterhaven, CA. Deliveries outside our standard service area may require additional scheduling and fees. We reserve the right to decline service for locations outside our operational range.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The version in effect at the time of your booking applies to your rental. We update the “Last updated” date at the top when changes are made.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona. Any dispute arising from a rental agreement with Dumpster Rental Yuma shall be resolved in Yuma County, Arizona. Both parties agree to attempt informal resolution before pursuing formal proceedings.
