Weight Overages
$45–$85 / additional tonEvery container comes with a weight limit included in your flat rate. If your debris goes over that limit, we charge per ton over — typically $45–$85 per additional ton, depending on the material and the current South Yuma County landfill rate.
This is the most common surprise charge in the dumpster rental industry — and it catches Yuma homeowners more often than anywhere else because of the desert materials here. Caliche and decomposed granite are both extremely heavy. A 10-yard standard dumpster filled with caliche can hit its 2-ton weight limit before it looks even one-third full. If your project involves caliche, DG, concrete, brick, or pavers, call us first. We will tell you exactly which container keeps you under the limit.
Extra Rental Days
$25–$40 / dayStandard rental period is 7 days. Need more time? Extra days run $25–$40 per day. Contractors on multi-week job sites can set up standing accounts — call to discuss.
Mattress Disposal
$35 per mattress$35 per mattress. This is the industry standard. It reflects the separate processing requirement at the landfill. We tell you upfront if your project is likely to include mattresses.
Freon-Containing Appliances
Removed firstOld air conditioning units and refrigerators with refrigerant still inside cannot go in a standard roll-off. Federal law — not our rule. A certified HVAC technician must remove the Freon first. In Yuma, where the extreme heat destroys AC units faster than almost anywhere in the country, this comes up constantly. If you are replacing an old unit, get the Freon removed before the container arrives. We can point you to local Yuma HVAC techs who handle this.
Trip Fee
AvoidableIf our driver arrives and cannot complete the delivery — blocked driveway, low-hanging wires, locked gate, not enough clearance — a trip fee applies. It is avoidable. When you book, we confirm the clearance requirements: 60 feet of straight-line space and 23 feet of vertical clearance. Clear the path before we arrive and there is no trip fee.

The fix is using the lowboy container for heavy desert materials from the start.
Roof replacements generate more weight than homeowners expect.
Asphalt shingles weigh 250 to 500 pounds per square (a 10×10 foot area). A standard Yuma home with a 2,000 sq ft roof has around 20 to 25 squares of shingles. That is 5,000 to 12,500 pounds of material. A 20-yard dumpster with a 3-ton (6,000 lb) limit handles most Yuma single-layer roof tear-offs comfortably. How to Keep Your Rental Cost Down
A few things that genuinely help:
Tell us what you are throwing out before you book.
The biggest source of unexpected charges is ordering a size that does not match the debris type. A quick five-minute call before you order saves a lot of trouble. We ask the right questions.
Do not mix heavy and light debris in the same container.
If you have caliche or concrete and also household junk, consider whether the heavy material alone needs the lowboy while the junk goes in a standard container. We can help you figure this out.
Have the Freon removed from appliances before the container arrives.
If you have old AC units or refrigerators, get the Freon handled by an HVAC tech first. It avoids a delay, a rejected load, and additional charges.
Clear the delivery path before we arrive.
A trip fee is 100% avoidable. Move vehicles, open the gate, trim any low branches. We confirm clearance requirements when you book.
Book ahead when you can.
Post-monsoon and PCS season (June–August) are our busiest periods. Same-day is usually available, but booking a day ahead guarantees your window.
